A Horse With No Name Posted January 25, 2012 Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 Just wondering if there are any pubs for away fans, within walking distance of the stadium. I am hoping to park somewhere near the M4 junction and last time I went , we found a pub by turning right at the M4 roundabout, but it meant a 25 minute walk to the stadium. Any ideas? Loderingo Posted January 25, 2012 Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 The closest is probably the World Turned Upside Down on Basingstoke road. Not sure how friendly it would be to away fans. Otherwise if you are driving then you might as well go to a country pub for an early lunch. Reading Red UTC Posted January 25, 2012 Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 i went to the world turned upside down last season. the reading fans in there we're really friendly you won't have any trouble. probably about 20 minute walk to the ground from there. getting out after back onto the M4 is a nightmare though. it was probably about 6pm before we were even got on the M4. bywaterred Posted January 25, 2012 Report Share Posted January 25, 2012 Park up at the holiday inn just off the m4 usually gets taken over by city fans. They have a bar that shows the football too.
