bangers
AbsolUte dogshit. Well out of position numerous occasions nearly leading to 3 reading goals......poor touch and regularly beaten by his man...... He is not the answer, just as Jamie Mac ain't..... We need to look in the window for a replacement he was poor today.

gas8er
I must say I agree with you on this one, thought he may improve, watching him in games where we have played well as a whole he stands out as the worst player on the pitch. marshy
Play Foster at LB and one of our many other options at RB. Save some dough and spend it elsewhere.
BS15_RED
Got to agree, McGivern is gash.
JammyOne
He was pretty awful that match. Foster could come forward and watch his winger but McGivern couldn't do either. I always thought he looked good, but I'm not sure now. Foster did great at LB, have Skuse back at RB.
mookey
Just got back from Reading and was going to start a similar thread, McGivern is a liability. Not only was his tackling poor or non existent , his distribution was rubbish, his positioning was awful, his lack of prescence just put the defence under pressure all the way through. There were times when James wanted to throw the ball out and he wasnt even looking back not alone positioning himself. Quite shocking how poor he was. I cant uderstand why we didnt keep last weeks line up at the back Overall though, Mcgivern aside, I thought City were as good as Reading and could have got something from the game. OldlandReddies
Think Del will go with Foster LB & Skuse RB for the Leeds game. Kilkenny likely to start against his old side with Pearson on the left and Bolassie dropping to the bench. Dont think he will move away from 1 up top though. Bazooka Joe
Play Foster at LB and one of our many other options at RB. . Yeh, I agree. McGivern was cr*p.....as was Skuseless.
Gazred
Perhaps this is why we'are being linked with the LB from Fulham. DM didn't have a lot of options at LB when he arrived, JM Now fit and out on loan, so still only McGivern as an out and out LB.

miketh2nd
Think we should play Foster at LB did a good job against doncaster , as LB is most of the time more important seeing as most of the time teams will have a better right winger then left. Never been that impressed by Mcgivern at times he's done alright but not been consistent enough for me.
benwurz
Totally agree with this, McGivern keeps getting the wrong side of his man! Doesn't offer loads going forward either, need to get rid!
Port Said Red
Totally agree with this, McGivern keeps getting the wrong side of his man! Doesn't offer loads going forward either, need to get rid! It was his cross that nearly led to a goal for Wood early on. Maybe that was his only contribution? Portishead Red
I wonder when Riaz will pop up and say how good he is? I made a similar comment before the BHA game and was slaughtered for it. Glad others are starting to see what i have been seeing since almost his first game! The problem as we have found to our cost left back is a specialist position, we need a specialist left back.

Glad others are starting to see what i have been seeing since almost his first game! I was'nt at Reading so cant comment. My point has always been, he's the best option... I've never claimed he was amazing. Though I'm not sure that he is the best option now, as we have the option of Foster...
