A player like him is just what we havnt got and the very reason we can't play 2 in the middle as our players can't do more than one thing. A centre midfielder should be capable in all departments but Kilkenny can't head/tackle, Elliott can't pass/control a ball and both skuse & cisse don't offer anything past the the half way line.

Davies today looked at class act and looked like he could do everything, although he was obv rusty after 2 years out

Couldn't agree more Brad Blit. We've got too many midfielders who are too one dimensional. The best midfielders are able to do a bit of everything.

Could not agree more mate. Obviously will look rough around the edges after so long out, but at the end of the day he is a class act and as you say, has a bit of everything in his game.

After showing the hunger and desire he has to fight back from injury, I doubt he will take any minutes on the pitch for granted ever again. Some of our spineless lot could do taking after him.
