allyolly
This was the message contained in DM's matchday programme on Saturday, a message we have heard countless times before from any City manager you could care to mention. It's obvious that people's opinions are currently very much divided on how much support they are prepared to give and on what basis it is deserved. But what do you think of this statement..... Does decent support from the terraces/stands really make a difference or is this just a predictable line for the manager to come out with? If so which grounds have you visited where the fans really are the 12th man? For me Sheffield United always seem to do a good job.

Ron
Don't think it can be solely the difference between winning and losing but it does help, inspire, etc. Perhaps a more poignant (and obvious) thought is that by having positive support you don't have negative support - which undoubtedly does have an effect. bs3
The fans support is the key ? Not players performing to a high level , not players running through brick wall. Not the manager getting his tactics and team selection right. Having a home support is an advantage but it's really down to the players to get a result. The support as been subdued but it's not been negative I don't really think you can blame the fans. When a manager starts to do this you are clutching at straws. marcc
People tend to sing when there happy. There is nothing to be happy about at present at all. Its not the supporters at fault for the way in which the team are performing, thats down to the players and management of them.
beaverface
I don't get it. The many times I've been to Stoke and Portsmouth, the atmosphere hasn't been that good at all !!
Alex_BCFC
Last time at the Britannia was pretty good. Pompey is reasonable I reckon. Southampton away was best atmosphere for me this season.
