bangers
What a class act this guy is. He has had so little football, and treated pretty poorly this season.....but he has taken his chsnce and CLEARLY CARES ABOUT OUR CLUB. He is a fighter and a battler and lead the line superbly in recent weeks. Why was he frozen out earlier in the season? And would you offer him a new deal? Well done steady keep up the good work. Coxy27
I would have laughed at saying this when we signed him, but I'll take my humble pie and say that I think he might actually be our best player imo.
Lrrr
Thought he was injured for most of the season? And club appeared to be under instructions to play Maynard in the hope he signed a new deal, something he wouldn't do being sat on the bench. Yes I would offer him a new deal, him, Pitman, Taylor and another striker I think would be a decent strike force for a championship club.
REDOXO
Jon Stead is a class act on and off the field
Blackthorn51
Sign him up now ! Was class the last two games lead line better then useless pitman !
The Casual Connoisseur
Sign him up now ! Was class the last two games lead line better then useless pitman ! He is our player, how can we sign him up? As for Pitman being useless........... Jesus
Phileas Fogg
Sign him up now ! Was class the last two games lead line better then useless pitman ! Ridiculous - against most other Goalies in this league Pits would have scored 2x on yesterdays chances. Just our luck Marshall had a bit of a blinder. Mr Popodopolous
Clinical finish in fact he has hit the goals lately! Like him, he should've played somewhat more this season I'd say. Remember one of the Sky games last year, QPR at home I think- he was superb.

Completely agree. My respect for Stead as a player and a person grows more by the day.
BristolNorthEndRed
In my view, having Jon Stead back in the side, has been like having a new signing. He has been combative and strong, has shown great awareness of players around him, he has a decent shot, and he’s good with his head. Hopefully he and Pitman can form a good striking relationship, for the final run in.
BCFC Jordan
Jon Stead and Brett Pitman is the strike partnership we should have been using all along, as soon as it was clear Nicky didnt give a sh*t about us. They were great together last season and have a fantastic understanding between one another. Stead is one of the most hard working and dedicated players you will find around. Thoroughly deserved his goal again yesterday, I just hope Del doesn't use that loss as an excuse to field 4-5-1 at Pompey on Saturday.
bangers
I have been impressed with Del....but of he decides to change for Pompey I will definately be disappointed.
