Redhyde
Good, our cosy youth set up which has been producing bugger all needed a shake up. We got rid of the failing goal keeping coach and now the guy who fails to turn first year professionals into playable assets. don't bash to club for making positive decisions just because we're losing. To be fair, from what I know the changes going on at that level is the one positive thing happening at the moment.

Redhyde
To be fair he was only in the job for 5 minutes, you need to give it time if you want to start seeing results... i reckon hes quite unlucky. Yep totally fair, he can't be blamed for the mistakes of the past and he didn't exactly have a fair shot at turning it around. But his remit when he came in was to aid in the signing an spotting of non league players and to help out with the development squad. Neither roles have obviously impressed the new management team. And we clearly have a problem with our coaching overall at the club. As with all coaches unless you're there at the training ground we don't really know what each of them individually contribute. But anyone associated with the clear from the outside failings at failand either needed to step up or get out. The outside perception of the management team usually matches the performance on the pitch of the team. Millen was a great coach under Johnson when we were winning, then a useless one when we lost, then a promising manager, then a clown. Earlier in the season Arsenal fans were on at Wenger to replace his coaching team as they were stale and useless, this went away after their winning run. But objectively, we've not developed players who have come in, and we haven't brought through players either in great enough quantities. And that is down to the coaches at the club. bcfcchris2016
I imagine Kunle is next for the chop. Trouble is though, he is a big big bloke. Who here would have the balls to tell him his contract will be terminated.

Who here would have the balls to tell him his contract will be terminated. Everyone is up for the chop I expect but McInnes and Docs are going about it the correct way, they are giving the exsisting staff a chance those not up to it are being let go, I expect the scouting network will be next, Has John Clayton left? Andy082005
Good good. Only got the job on a "job for the boys" basis. Along with Naylor and Walshy, I'm glad the new manager is getting rid of the old boys club

Can't say I would be to disapointed if that is true, but I would like to see SL back as chairman with someone like Peter Reid taking up an advisory role we need some experience at the top. Guest leetrundlesrightfoot
well if the players want to learn to be drunken *****, and drive too fast in their cars.. sure.. what narrow minded view, gary owers didnt get his job thru his achievments as a coach, he got them thru being one of the old boys, thats a fact
WellRedPhil
So who chooses the next guy then? Landsdown? Or maybe Sexstone? Hell why not let McInnes bring in another of his people? Or do we promote internally, something that's worked so well for us over the years...

Andy082005
What's your evidence for this? ......the fact you dont need to be a brain surgeon to work it out. It would have been interesting to see what would have happened next season if Millen was still in charge. Carey for coach? any other old players we can bring back and give a job? Tommy Doc as fitness coach perhaps? Seriously though, what is it with this club and not investing some decent money on a good, proven back room staff. Im glad McInnes seems to be addressing the cosy nature at the club......its just a massive shame its took the disaster of this season before something was finally done

I'm glad McInnes is bringing about some change around the club, it's about bloody time. It's a crying shame we may have to suffer relegation, this should've been addressed a long time ago. I've got faith in the manager to turn this club around, even if we end up going down. The club has been run shambolically and we're paying the price now. Anyone who blames McInnes for the mess we're in wants their head looking at.

djb6162
The other key point is the the fact that the club are going for Cat 2 academy status on the academy for next year that's a big and positive call, i for one thought Cat 3 at best, cat 2 will take significant investment in facilities and coaching staff per headcount ratio. Maybe the penny has dropped that to get city into the black on the balance sheet and to produce consistent young talent, its all about the academy. these changes are probably the start of a massive academy shake up
