Olé
Prior state: http://www.otib.co.u...62#entry1539962 Looking at the numbers, Barnsley are not yet out of this, and we are still deep in it. My instinct from the form and fixtures remaining is that Portsmouth will pull off the great escape and either Forest or Barnsley will get dragged back into it (both tough run ins, only 2 home games left each and both against teams with something to play for). We have a long way to go and predictably Monday is vital as our fixtures immediately after are tough. 17 Peterborough 48pts -4 Form: LWLLWD Avg Pos of Remaining: 11.4 H Nottm Forest (20) A Leeds (11) H Southampton (1) H Watford (13) A Derby (12) 18 Barnsley 46pts -20 Form: LLLWLL Avg Pos of Remaining: 9.8 A Blackpool (5) H Cardiff (6) A Hull (10) A Bristol C (21) H Brighton (7) 19 Millwall 44pts -8 Form: LLWLDW Avg Pos of Remaining: 14.8 A Portsmouth (23) H Leicester (9) A Coventry (22) A Ipswich (15) H Blackpool (5) 20 Nottm Forest 43pts -16 Form: LWDDWL Avg Pos of Remaining: 11.4 A Peterborough (17) H Blackpool (5) A Reading (2) A Hull (10) H Portsmouth (23) 21 BRISTOL C 40pts -28 Form: LDLDDW Avg Pos of Remaining: 12.2 H Coventry (22) A Birmingham (4) H West Ham (3) H Barnsley (18) A Burnley (14) 22 Coventry 39pts - 15 Form: DDDWWD Avg Pos of Remaining: 15.8 A Bristol C (21) A Burnley (14) H Millwall (19) H Doncaster (24) A Southampton (1) 23 Portsmouth 34pts -7 Form: DWLWLD Avg Pos of Remaining: 18.2 H Millwall (19) A Doncaster (24) H C Palace (16) H Derby (12) A Nottm Forest (20) 24 Doncaster 32pts -36 Form: LLLDLL Avg Pos of Remaining: 16.4 H Burnley (14) H Porstmouth (23) A Middlesbro (8) A Coventry (22) H Ipswich (15)
Red Eyed Monster
I agree, I think Portsmouth will escape this, and I think barnsley do look in trouble with their run-in. They looked awful against west ham. I know points on the board and all that, but a win for us on Monday and if Blackpool beat them (which you'd expect) and the gap is down to 3pts, with the goal diff closing too. Mind you they have to play hull who are giving points away at the moment. Millwall will be right back in it if they lose to Pompey on Monday. It really depends which forest team decides to turn up for the rest of the season, but Portsmouth on the final day to send steve cotterill down would be priceless. Loads more twists and turns to come, but Donnie look screwed.

mcbcfc
If we beat coventry and barnsley that will be enough imo I think we'll need another point on top of those two wins. So 1 draw from Birmingham, west ham or burnley.
The Casual Connoisseur
7 points will be very tight, 9 should be enough, with our goal difference we need to make sure.
Red Eyed Monster
why oh why do we always worry about other teams its down to us to get ourselves out of this dogfight no one else bar none beat cov and barnsley we shud be ok This thread is designed for people to discuss the other teams around us. If you don't have an interest in it please don't feel obliged to read it or post. It doesn't mean we're necessarily worried, but others results may hell have an impact on our final position. There are plenty of other threads to get involved in if this one doesn't do it for you. Keep up the good work Ole!
Talk Of The Town
You can analyse the inns and outs of a cats ass but its in their own hands now. Worry about their own perfomances, stay positive and try and pick up points in every game.
