FredTheRed08
Selling this shirt on ebay, I haven't see many genuine 1976 shirts on ebay. Earliest I have seen is late 80s/early 90s. http://www.ebay.co.u...984.m1586.l2649

bristolcitysweden
Odd with an away shirt (original). Haven't seen one before. Got two child sized home shirts from the late seventees, bought one of them for my brother 79 or 80. Must have started to sell them about that time and must have been home shirts at first. Anyone remember having bought an away shirt??
redpole
80s I thought they started selling shirts! How the item is worded..sounds like its an original player shirt. Can't be real surely not.
exAtyeoMax
also says youth sized
Tom
Could be an altered version of one of these? http://www.toffs.com/Bristol-City-1975-1976-Away/productinfo/1976/ Seems a bit far-fetched, however, because they don't do kids sizes, unless the ebay listing is a typo of 40-42. bristolcitysweden
On page 69 in the booklet "Ashton Gate - One hundred years in pictures" it's a pic of two boys modelling the 79/80 home kit. Seems they were first sold in 1980 from the text and surely it can only have been homeshirts? I believe it was all child size at the time.
WuTang
I have the same shirt but long sleeved. Since acquiring it from eBay about 10 years ago it's been hanging in my wardrobe. Partly because it's a treasure... but also because it's quite tight these days! No reason to believe it's not genuine, but definitely a replica fans kits rather that a players. Anyone remember having bought an away shirt?? Yes I had both the home and away Umbro kits and they must have been on sale before summer '79 as I have photo evidence of me wearing the home one on holiday that summer. Seem to remember I had the white away shirt sooner than that.

bs16bcfc
I had the away shirt then home shirt and then for Xmas got the full tracksuit. I got ripped apart at school fir the tracksuit mainly by Liverpool fans and the gas back then when north Bristol was all gas! Now a lot have seen the light. City Rocker
when north Bristol was all gas Well I used to wear those City kits playing football at Patchway High School, don't remember anyone giving me any grief at all. There were loads of City fans there and I definitely don't recall the area as the Rovers stronghold it's reputed to be.
54-46
80s I thought they started selling shirts! I can definitely remember kids shirts being sold late 70s - City used to have a shop (or may just have been a kind of empty shop demo ing what you could buy) up the Broadwalk shopping centre when I was in junior school c. 1978
FredTheRed08
Just to clarify, shirt is sized Youths and was bought in UK, not a Salvos shop in Ballarat. I remember having the home version when I was a kid in the 70s, so there was obviously an away version as well. Defo not a fake, got the genuine Umbro washing tag behind collar.
