bristolcitysweden
Defender we recently signed on loan from Cardiff. Any news? Not even on the bench. Cheers
Tom
I think he was brought in because the window shut, just in case we had another crisis. So another 3 match ban or more defensive injuries he could come into the side. We haven't, so he hasn't.

Admin Ian M Posted April 13, 2012 Admin Report Share Posted April 13, 2012 I think he was brought in because the window shut, just in case we had another crisis. So another 3 match ban or more defensive injuries he could come into the side. We haven't, so he hasn't. Plus for that opening game Derek said he didn't want to start with too many new faces in defence so paired Carey & Amougou. We then conceded just 1 goal at Boro, again one against Derby & then a clean sheet at Forest. McInnes' captain, Fontaine, was back for the Cov match in which again we conceded just 1 goal. Our centre back pairings are actually performing at the moment and the bench is made up of players who can change games with most being must win lately. If Carey hasn't recovered by Saturday then for Birmingham away we will need a CB on the bench so expect Keinan to feature. As Tom said, he was purely a precautionary signing as if we had lost another CB before Liam returned we'd be down to putting midfielders in defence so in our position we had to take that insurance policy. The Casual Connoisseur
Quite a lot of Cardiff fans really like him, he's apparently a very good pro and quick for a fairly big lad.

Red Eyed Monster
I guess amougou wont be able to play against burnley either. Chances are we'll still need points then too, so will need cover in the match day squad.

MarcusX
Anyone concerned about a Cardiff player helping us survive? Talk about split loyalties! I know I would find it hard to go to rovers and be asked to help them stay up!
Tom
It's hardly the same as City and Rovers, although the rivalry is large. If you agree to go to a club then you agree to play your best. Playing badly on purpose will in no way help his career. As mentioned above he is probably playing for a contract, McInnes wants him on the training ground, sort of a trial but in this case is available in an emergency. Pretty astute for McInnes if this is the strategy he is employing, try before you buy. I doubt he is a Cardiff fan in all honesty and probably wouldn't care as much as a Cardiff fan would.
