DC Red
The space shuttle Discovery just flew low over our backyard on the back of jumbo on the way to the Smithsonian museum by Dulles Airport. I was not expecting to see it so close and straight overhead, so I did not have my camera ready. That said, it was one of the most awe-inspiring things I have ever seen and experienced. Did anyone else in the area see it?
Manon
No but I saw it piggy back the 747 at RAF fairford back in the 80's. Great spectacle.

Admin Ian M Posted April 21, 2012 Admin Report Share Posted April 21, 2012 Nothing like seeing Concorde fly over you, for shame. I drive past it at least 3 or 4 times a week and always think what a shame it doesn't grace our skies anymore.
