The club need to be aware of it weeks in advance For risk assessment reasons and I'm pretty sure there's a huge waiting list of charities ready to go. You would not need permission from the club to stand anywhere in the surrounding area and collect. I don't think any pub would have a problem with a collection tin being put on the bar.
