Rich-TWSC-
I couldn't retire on 149 English top flight goals.
CotswoldRed
He thinks Joey Barton is the most entertaining thing on twitter. We don't want mentally deranged folk at AG. Not on the pitch anyway
Ryan_BCFC
He will play on, be interesting to see if he continues to play in the Premier League or go to a club overseas.
Youngish
He said a while back he didn't want to drop down the leagues. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he retired. Such a shame, I always thought he was a terrific player, but his career was ultimately killed by injuries.

Atyeo_Nick
Would have been the best striker in the world but for his hamstring issues. Would have absolutely obliterated Bobby Charlton's 49 goals too. I could see 'Arry taking a punt on him for Spurs- he does love a big name reject. DaveF
Still has a 1 in 3 strike rate for utd despite some of those appearances probably only being for a few minutes. Not bad at all.

bearded_red
The injuries he has had throughout his career really is a shame. As an earlier poster said he would have smashed past Bobby Charlton's goal scoring record as well as beating Shilton's appearance record. It really does say just how talented he is that even though he has achieved all he has in the game, and played for the massive clubs he has, he will go down as somewhat of a wasted talent. In his few games over the last three seasons for United, the Leeds league cup game in particular, he has shown that he is still second to none in front of goal and I hope he finds himself a decent club. CotswoldRed
He's been largely a forgotten figure since he left Liverpool imo. A brief bright spell at Newcastle but not much else. I bet there's part of him that had wished he'd stayed with the scousers..
Rich-TWSC-
He should have stuck it out with Madrid. He was scoring goals from the bench, a second season and who knows?

Rich, just realised from your user name that you have gotten engaged to your football-enlightened Lady since I last looked. Congrats to you both
