T R
I don't know if anyone has seen it or mentioned it yet. It looks like leeds or forest could be taken over by a mega rich kuwaiti businessman. How many clubs in the english league now have foreign owners? Also would they be able to spend money on a lot of players with the new financial fair play rules coming in the championship? http://news.kuwaitti...s-british-club/ http://www.bbc.co.uk...otball/18282522 http://www.sportsmol...alks_28979.html how would you feel if it happened to our club? I don't really know, there would be a lot of money coming in but it could be a risk they could always pull out, leave us in debt. Title meant to be spelt takeover bid... EmissionImpossible
I would hate it but its the only way we would ever get and stay in the Premier League. I say screw the Premier League, i'm happy with the Championship.

East end Forever
I'm very happy with SL landsdown all day long great bloke
Taylor10
It just wouldn't sit well with me. Regardless of what people say about Lansdown, and whether he backs Del this summer or not, he always has the clubs best interests at heart. He cares about the club and with him we are in safe hands. Money doesn't always guarantee success, and I just wouldn't trust a foreign owner. Carson Yeung at Brum springs to mind.
eskay
The problem is that there are not enough places in the Premier League for all of these teams, what happens to some of these investors once the PL has become saturated with these foreign rich teams and all they can do is knock on the door? In some ways the proposal to prevent relegation from the PL might not be a bad one. Seal it up and cut it adrift.
Brizzle Jordan
Steve Lansdown and Dave Whelan are the best British owners/majority share holders that I can think of.
beaverface
I can't wait for the day when all these foreign owners get bored and all the major football clubs implode - we might be able to get back to proper "British" football where the clubs are owned, ran and supported by the locals. TRL
Steve Lansdown and Dave Whelan are the best British owners/majority share holders that I can think of. Whelan is good for Wigan. But he is also one of the biggest bullshiters on the planet! That will backfire on Wigan one day.
havanatopia
Steve WILL get us there and keep us there.
Uncle Albert
Said it before and I'll say it again, Lansdown never gets enough credit for what he has done for this club... a top top guy!
Mendip City
Lansdown's fantastic for City. If the new stadium ever gets built I can see these sort of people sniffing around City.... SL might get tempted. If he does I think he'd go in the way Majeski has at Reading - slowly handing over the reigns.
'Orns
Whelan is good for Wigan. But he is also one of the biggest bullshiters on the planet! That will backfire on Wigan one day. The amount of shite that man spews out is truly unbelievable. Likes the sound of his own voice a little too much for my liking. Martinez must feel like he's got two wives with all that wittering going on
