Brizzle Jordan
Anyone been down the Gate recently? Is the pitch being relaid again? No need imo, the women's FA Cup final was proof that it is still in fantastic condition.
BigTone
In fairness I always believe our pitch to be top notch. Congrats to our groundstaff
TRL
It gets relaid every season, I think it has something to do with the artificial weave incorporated into it. Don't quote me on that though, I am sure that is a drunken chat I had with one of the groundstaff a while back
Dollymarie
It's being re-laid. Was down there Thursday.
Desso
I guess that there will be other maintenance jobs to do also. Jobs which are normally done each year but had been put on hold due to the new stadium. Busy, busy ground staff. I think that if all had gone well, the next season at AG would have been the last and next May we could have ripped up the pitch ourselves for souvenirs and saved them the trouble. Any other souvenirs in mind?
Rocky
Someone tweeted a pic of the pitch being ripped up, so as Dolly said, it's being relaid..
eastonboy
Not cheap either is it? Last time I remember prices being quoted, I thought it was around the £200k mark - ouch!
madmax
Was complete last week. Several special machinery on the pitch and tons and tons of soil in the car park. cycled through over the weekend and it looked like the sprinklers were on. Monkeh
etherway our pitch is always one of the best in the country putting many top flight clubs to shame, all to do with the design of Ashton Gate I think and the angle the ground is at, The pitch sees the sun for most of the day aiding growth

Nibor
Not cheap either is it? Last time I remember prices being quoted, I thought it was around the £200k mark - ouch! That's if you buy turf, which I'm pretty sure we don't do.
