redcherryberry
subject to a medical. Interesting move for them. Still only 29 could score a few in this division. I would say that's an excitng signing for them & a good replacement for Vaz Te. Gamble though as no doubt will be their highest earner while comes with loads of baggage and a serious atittude problem. Would anyone of wanted him here? Phil78
Egyptian footballers, genrally. More hassle than they are worth. Regardless of ability, I wouldn't go for him, especially since the Meteb hassle
fka dagest
Interesting signing. A risk obviously, but it'll either really pay off or be a disaster. Should make the Championship a bit more interesting next season.
redcherryberry
You would think at 29 and a last big pay day for him still possible, he might get his head down and do well at Barnsley till jan. Im sure that is the plan but i just cant see it happening.
Admin Ian M Posted June 16, 2012 Admin Report Share Posted June 16, 2012 Why sign him when there are so many players available on free transfers from the SPL?

Plenty off Egypt internationals are going free at there clubs over there.I gave a list off them before, one was at Wigan and Celtic.Who could bang them in at championship level. Barnsley-Tyke
He will be on Peanuts FACT, We are proper skint. we had to let Jay McEveley go cause he was a high paid player and tbh he wa shit. Rumours are Vaz Te was only on £800 a week here and look how he turned out, Hill is good at Bringing best out of players so am hoping he continues that with Mido

Barnsley-Tyke
Weve signed Etuhu, Mido all but signed, Kevin Kilbane offered a contract and is thinking it over to become player/coach here. Also want, Josh Lillis, Futacs (Pompey Striker) Greer (Brighton Captain) Lee Williamson (Sheff Utd) Oliver Norwood (Man Utd)

Red Ferret
When Mido played for West Ham wasn't he only on 1K a week? He was happy to take a massive paycut as he said he didn't need the money
Coxy27
I think it's a good signing, and would have been happy to see him here... Seems I'm a minority though.
alexrusselsboot
Yes Mido doesn't need a last big pay day because his family is already seriously rich. He plays football for enjoyment not money
