If you zoom to ashton gate and then click on the basemap bullet point starting at 1828. You see the old toll house called ashton gate, and red clift house. Click on the other dates to see how it has changed over the years, I am sure the park was part of the estate at one point. You can look at different areas of bristol too. Interesting to note here that the pitch used to be in a different position, more towards the Dolman/East End corner, when it was a cricket ground as well. Interesting to note here that the pitch used to be in a different position, more towards the Dolman/East End corner, when it was a cricket ground as well. Loads of stuff on info boards that I didn't know on the Cycle path around the site of the old Mangotsfield station if you haven't already found it. I wondered this too but now I think he means the actual info boards on the cycle track if you ride or walk along it and the station platforms around that area! However I might be wrong.
