Of course that was then, 27 in 32 starts for the reserves, and this is now. Many may remember him from loan spells at Derby, Sheffield United and Norwich. He is a free agent after leaving Grosseto in Serie B. He has never really shone anywhere since those youth days. Unsettled, lack of direction or good management? Who knows. Someone somewhere will give him a trial. He is still only 24 and there is no doubt he has talent. It just needs properly harnessing. He could, on paper, be better than any of the fox in the box strikers we have been talking about all summer and if money is tight at City then giving the lad a trial might not be a bad idea.
