Mr Wendall
I posted a while ago just before Heaton had signed with us that Manchester City had offered him a contract to be their 3rd Keeper (5 figures a week) but he turned them down because he wants regular first team football. Now when I was told this I thought that this was a bit of a tall story but it was from a reliable source, with them signing a keeper the standard of Richard Wright I'm starting to think that this may be true. I have to say if true that it is very commendable that a player would turn down a lot more money to sign for a club where he is likely to play. Well done Tom! Wouldn't rule it out that's he's on 5 figures here either!

Admin Ian M Posted August 31, 2012 Admin Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 And this is also the reason we only have him on a 1 year deal as he didn't want to be tied down to us if he wasn't getting 1st team football here.
