SL said on radio Bristol there will be no news until after Christmas in January at the earliest ?????

And then it could only be it is going to something else like another hearing of some kind

The Barristers will make sure of this so they can get more money

So you not hear anything until After Christmas

We do not have the room

The mayor of Liverpool, though a self confessed Everton fan, is making room for them with compulsory purchase orders of nearby houses.

Liverpool have said that Anfield is their spiritual home and supporters would much prefer to stay there.

Unfortunately, our Council is composed of unconfessed tossers who wouldn't dream of doing anything so progressive.

I suggest SL waits until every building in Ashton has been turned into a Tesco Metro and then buys out Tesco. Result!

liverpool have a hell of alot more money then us we can't afford to buy the houses and land as well as pay for the redvlopment,

We need to sell Ashton Gate in order to help pay for the new ground so where is the 50 odd million extra needed to redvelop the gate going to come from?

Redvlopement costs about 3 times as much as a new build

We don't need to completely redevelop, the ground currently holds 21K, we need another 9K to reach the fabled 30K.

Both the Williams and EE can be rebuilt to increase the capacity without the purchase of additional land, at a fraction of the proposed cost of AV.

Conference facilities exist in the Dolman, and can be incorporated into a new Williams stand.

A double decker EE for home fans with the Atyeo for away fans.

Don't know where the 3x costs come from, are you including the purchase of land for new development?

From memory the Atyeo was built in about 12 weeks ( I stand(!) to be corrected).

During the redevelopment of the EE all but the largest crowds can be accommodated in the other three stands, with the greater part of the work taking place during the summer months.

Capacity while the Williams was redeveloped after the EE was finished would be about 22K still enough to cope with most crowds.

SL has already put aside 40M for the new ground, two stands could easily be built for that money.

Redeveloping AG is perfectly possible it just isn't what SL wants to do (yet).

it did take 12 weeks but that was in 93 (can't remember) there is a hell of alot more Health and safety and contruction rules to follow now,

12 weeks in 93 = 42 weeks today also you have to factor in the cost of demolation which is an additional cost thats not involved in the new build,

New builds have always been and always will be a cheaper option

Not from a commercial point of view and never will be.

Sorry mate no way would 12 weeks become 42 now. It would take longer, but with a lot of fabrication taking place off site then the build could happen very quickly making the stand available for use for football, with the internal fit out carried out in between games.

Where there's a will there's a way.
