BCFC Jordan Posted October 24, 2012 Report Share Posted October 24, 2012 It's not just the defence but the midfield being constantly overrun also, as is well documented. I think despite Pearson's recent poor form, we did miss him last night as he does at least provide an engine like work rate in midfield, which doesn't suit Morris's style at all. This was particularly needed when playing against an opposition playing with five midfielders. The thing about Pearson is he lacks quality with his passing and defensive positioning which Cisse had. Playing a proper DMF would allow someone more creative to contribute to our attack. Last night we played two lads who contributed very little in defence or attack and it showed. Cisse was offered a deal, so his wage would have been budgeted for along with Pearson and Carey. If he wanted more than he was offered then that's a question of the club's valuation of him versus his own, not how much money there is to spend.
