TRL
Interesting thought, if clubs are willing to ban fans for racism, effectively stopping them gaining entrance to the ground, is there a chance, for instance, say, west ham ban Terry and Saurez from their ground? Surely now clubs have started banning entry to the ground for racist fans, they could also do so for opposition players that have been found guilty by the FA? John Terry has been cleared LAWFULLY in court, why the **** do people keep on saying he's racist?

Jordan Tansley
Pretty sure Saurez has never been charged by a court of law either.
TRL
Pretty sure Saurez has never been charged by a court of law either. Clubs ban fans before they go to court. And let them off if proved not guilty. So they could equally take note of the findings of their governing body.
Keith_Lemon
Everyone should of learned now. One law for a footballer, an entire different for the rest. If one of us did a crap job constantly we would end up being sacked. A footballer would pick up a new club instantly. If we were to do a criminal offence; rape, murder, drink-driving, assault etc were go down for a few years and more than likely not get a good job again. Footballers could go to jail for mass murder and would still walk into a club with open arms.

sbred
City ban arrested fans, as soon as they are informed by the police. Regardless of If they are guilty or not. So, If terry was a city player and was arrested for Racism at a game, would city ban him straight away from the club?

TRL
I expect Chelsea ban fans straight away too, I thnk it's common place in football. This is why I asked the question. Seems like clubs are playing by two sets of rules.
Guest
I suppose the difference is clubs are allowed to choose which fans to admit - that is at their discretion. Admitting opponents, however, is (presumably) not discretionary.
