antlers
awful idea, i went to the euros and met fans from all over europe. had a cracking time, it would be soulless to have Croatia V Romania in Glasgow, Norway V Italy in Moscow. i couldn't think of a worse idea other than Qatar hosting a major tournament. CardiffBlackLabel
Not all bad news. It would be very likely that there would be some games in Cardiff, so you'd only be 30 miles or so from a major international tournament.
DaveF
Ruins the whole experience surely.

Welcome To The Jungle
Confirmed http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20631963 Peeved off at that. What are Uefa at. Ultimatly the Euros are a festival of football, like the WC but smaller. Be miffed if you went to Glastonbury and was told after the first act that you had to go to Yorkshire to see the next. Boycott the damn thing as it's a total farce. Like expanding it to 24 teams. The Euros has been so good of late as there are no 'poor' sides like the WC. Ireland got whipped a bit but when Costa Rica or Saudi Arabia rock up you know 3 points are yours.
marshy
All the best tournaments I've seen, WC or UEFA, have had 16 teams in the finals, the traditional arrangement. Any more and the final games are ruined by suspensions and fatigue. Add to that the additional hassle of moving from venue to venue and you've a recipe for dour, grinding football. Another harebrained idea from M. Platini.

Yeah out of all the venues in the Europe that shithole will get a game. Its not even in the top 4 uk stadiums
Mr Popodopolous
Bad idea. Unwieldy, couldn't generate a real feel for it, just no need. Same with 24 teams.
