Kid in the Riot
Del said tonight that we went to offer him a new contract in the summer, he was a part of Del's plans for this season. Bolasie was 'tapped up' by Crystal Palace who saw his potential. Bolasie said he wanted to move back to where his family are in London and as a result refused to sign a new contract at City. Knowing that he could leave for nothing in 12 months we learnt our lesson from the Maynard situation and took the fee. Del maintained Bolasie never handed in a transfer request and was not sold for footballing reasons.

Kid in the Riot
Del also said he was disappointed Bolasie had been 'tapped up' but have to accept it goes on and we can't be naive.

That's quite a serious allegation isn't it? I'm sure if we'd done that to a team around us in the division they'd have kicked up a right fuss! I'm sure if we'd done that to a team around us in the division they'd have kicked up a right fuss! Clubs asking agents to to speak to players about their interest happens all the time up and down the land. I fully expect we did exactly the same in the Davies and Baldock signings. Esmond Million's Bung
Good to hear really. If he wanted to go , best to take the money and run. Totally agree, perhaps this one could have been put to bed a lot earlier, the drip feed of some less sensitive information is frustrating and causes rumours and ill feeling, had the question not been asked we would probably have been none the wiser today. screech
Well done Bolasie, made his intentions clear from the start and allowed the club to get a fee, Micky Maynard he isn't.
Brizzle Jordan
Talented boy though, such a shame he wanted out. Always thought the idea of him and Adomah on the wings was exciting.

Always liked him and thought he had potential. I just think given our desperate struggle last year it was hard to start Bolasie and Adomah on a regular basis. Very talented player. Althought there were plenty that said they didn't care if he went. Ultimately we did the right thing though and cashed in.
JammyOne
He played OK for us, and we made a hefty profit on him. He was clear about his intentions which is always good. No hard feelings from me Yann'.
