Super
Why the hell was he brought in FFS. There is no way he can be worse than any of the defence that started today. He is a Liverpool player for god sake not a bloke who can't get a game at the Gas! Just a ridiculous decision.

Welcome To The Jungle
One thread I think we can all agree with. He must be piswed off sat on the bench. The boy has talent, play him!
GrahamC
Can't argue. There was no point at all in bringing him in if he wasn't going to get a chance, completely baffling. It isn't as if those playing at the back are doing so great either, is it?

Carey 6
What worries me the most is McInnes massive faith in Fontaine... Instead of taking him off for Cunningham , he took Bates off and put Fonts out of position...
Nibor
You do have to wonder why we bothered if he can't get into the side with a defence like we have currently. McManus is distinctly average, Fontaine abysmal at the moment.

Probably asking Brendan Rodgers to take him back! We can safely say we won't get anymore loans from them!
MichaelRobartes
Probably asking Brendan Rodgers to take him back! We can safely say we won't get anymore loans from them! He'll hardly give us a glowing reference, especially after watching the jokers we're playing ahead of him. Farcical stuff from our manager. bcfcnick
Seeing Keogh play so dominantly at the back for Derby and organising the back four was hard to take given he could have been playing for us. Two injury prone and somewhat immobile centre backs in McManus and Bates plus Fontaine who is struggling at centre back and is certainly no left back are what we have instead. Why couldn't we learn from last season when McManus' 12 to 15 run in the side resulted in zero wins and a leaky defence? There are too many Anderson & Wilson situations for my liking - decent players who are not given an opportunity despite the fact that players in their position are either injured or struggling. The one bright spot was seeing Cunningham back. He finds space, looks composed (although understandably and literally finding his feet at times in his first run out) and can put in a decent cross. Aizoon
So who did arrange the loan? If it was Del, WTF didn't he play him, and if it was SL, why is he paying a manager's wages? Dead right that Rodgers won't lend us another player! The whole point is to give the bloke match practice
Prestbury c of c
how can we afford to pay for a bench warmer from liverpool, ridiculous decision.Anderson, morris, woolford are for that. The whole situation is embarrasing .Good job SL doesnt call his 35 million back or the club would fold.Watch this space........ Fiale
He has said a few times he was brought in a short term cover as we had few options due to injury - as to whether he should play or not, it seems he can be no worse, but how will that help when he is off again soon.
