Mobility

Over recent years the Champioship has increasingly upped its game in terms of the football played -- Swansea were way out in front of the others and all seem to be catching up with the idea that football is also being creative and imaginative and thinking outside the box -- but sadly not us.

Mobility means being mobile -- and many of the opposition teams are playing with players constantly running with the ball supported by a network around them, intricately passing until a supporting colleague breaks into the wider space. Sadly with City were are so so static -- the back four sit back and stay there - unable to cope with the intricate football they are facing. Similarly the midfield -- how often do we see players / forwards having to go it alone with no-one to pass to?

Opposition teams seem to always have support available - and they also seem to encourage players to move out of position and into spaces -- and hence we are being caught unaware and unable to mark the transgressors -- and leaving apparently huge spaces.

We do not have the supporting team spirit, we do not seem to have the guts for a fight and supporting each other above all else -- and strangely we seem way off the fitness and speed (both in thinking and ability to cover the turf) of other teams.

I am afraid we have too much to change, and not just in terms of personnel, to prevent us going down this year.
