Has anyone notice how many players are displaying some kind of hand signal after scoring.is it gang related of some sort.

I think you could be on to something. Someone, somewhere in the world is murdered the day after Gareth Bale makes that 'M' signal with his hands after scoring. No doubt he has affiliations with a leading international drugs cartel.

As gang signals are usually just letters or numbers, the players using them likely have given them a different significance, for example the first letter of the name of a loved one or newly born child, a number of goals scored, or number brain cells exerted (usually both).

This is as opposed to the four finger w (west side - made famous by Tupac and not yet adopted in any great number by the players of Exeter City and Torquay), the two finger angular C (crip - the blue rag wearing sign occasionally made mainstream by Snoop and not yet adopted by all-blue wearers like Stockport, although Cardiff's Malaysian owners have clearly thrown away the double opportunity to throw their Cs up), the bunny rabbit one handed b (blood - the red shirted adversaries of the crip gang and an obvious hand signal for Terry Butcher to have made had he headed England in front in Sweden in 1989), or a series of numbers denoted with both hands (normally the proponents 'block' given numbered streets increasing radially from most American City centres with some or whole sets within the hood, ie 51 for 51st street or 30 to denote the whole set of blocks within the rolling 30s - this is less well adopted by professional footballers whose mock Tudor mansions in Cheshire or Surrey don't tend to have numbers, well not ones they can count to anyway, for youth team players it could be the bus they take to training and for City players their is the option to throw up the (bs) 20 for their Portishead set, it's less easy to attach a number that big to anything they've achieved this season).

The two hand signals which have crossed over are the two handed capital letter A which just as it was going through a boom in rap music videos made popular by a burgeoning "Down South" rap scene in "the A" (Atlanta) was also being adopted by Premiership footballers to modestly grade themselves, which might have appeared big headed, so then became a calling card to promote an inner city youth organisation set up Fitz Hall, Andy Johnson and others, and celebrated during Emile Heskey and Micah Richards goals (both of them). This elaborate charitable cover to their excesses was soon blown when footballers decided to adopt a two handed thumb and forefinger "diamond" signal popularised by Jay-Z as his "Roc" label and short hand for that sort of extreme level of wealth and success, if not the bit of Beyonce we'd also like to poke (make the signal and you'll figure it out) the reality is that the closest an exponent probably gets to diamonds is the fake Cubic Zirconia ear stud from Argos and an Essex WAG so well worn the symbol is probably about the right size for what he's servicing too....
