No Point Sacking Him Now

I never thought he was the right choice and for over a year have wanted Del out.

For two reasons we may as well leave him in charge now:

1. By the time a new man is in place the transfer window will be closed. (We saw how long it took for the decision to be made on Del after a "thorough selection process"!!!).

2. The new man will have to fit the usual criteria of being a nice, friendly chap, (usually offering no real managerial experience) and being unable to say boo to a goose (or boo to a Lansdown). What we need is exactly the opposite: experienced, nasty and able to stand up to the board and players.

To late now.

Its not just about saving this season McClueless has made us a laughing stock, and so have the board, they may have accepted relegation for whatever reasons but why should they expect us to pay out of our hard earned money,to watch a rudder less shambles week in week out.

Depends on whether you're happy with losing the fanbase, an empty ground, and only selling season tickets to the most severely deluded remaining fans for L1 next season. Not sure there's that many of us stupid enough to renew whilst he remains in charge.

Don't agree in any way that there's no point in sacking him. Need a new man in now ( after Wolves actually) to build for next season. Del will take us down from league 1 next season.

Yes, agree that in an ideal world we could plan for next season..... But what's the point with another inexperienced yes-man at the helm similar to Tins, Millen and now McInnes.

You could argue that there's no point in us sacking him because this board cannot be trusted to get the right man. That's what I find totally demoralising about it all, given their track record.

They were responsible for McInnes' appointment and the entire shambles that came with it, not to mention countless other abysmal decisions over the years, and yet most people think they're beyond criticism.

Until people start questioning them, I fear this downward cycle will go on year-after-year under their watch.

disagree - we are 3 points off safety with a game in hand (depending on wednesday result),

He has to go - lansdown may have been in Guernsey today sat in his lovely home (respect to him) and should have been calling available managers whilst we were getting a hiding - o'driscoll, Billy Davies, Hughes, Keegan, Hoddle - anyone with a little experience,

DM should be out of a job by 9pm and SL and the board should be appointing someone with management experience by tuesday - rovers got ward appointed in quick time,

We need a back-bone and some ruthlessness (is that the word) and make things happen in quick time. There is still time !
