leetrundlesrightfoot2
chances are we had a contingency plan in place, and had managers on our radar- this is the norm, sadly, i cant see our board having this, especially after letting del sign a player on a 3.5 year deal 48 hours ago!!! Mr Popodopolous
Huge gamble given his lack of experience. Best known for being assistant to Hughes, dunno really seems very left field. Have we learnt nothing from Millen debacle if it's true- which I highly doubt!

Roger Red Hat
I wouldn't be surprised if it was true, this board is clueless and learn nothing! Here's the thing......How do you pick a good manager, in our position?
Mr Popodopolous
I wouldn't be surprised if it was true, this board is clueless and learn nothing! He might well be a good coach, But in our position, at this time surely not thr right man. Wouldn't 100% shock me though because as you say, our board are prone to repeating past errors... Red-Robbo
Mullet-sporting Welsh cheat Mark Hughes was bloody awful at Fulham, so I'd rather not take his assistant.

Spike
Just looking here: http://www.thesackrace.com/teams/bristol-city and Mark Bowen is currently 7/2 favourite to be our next manager!! What the absoloute ****?! What is our link with him and why is he favourite on there? He's managed a sum total of.... 1 game!! I'd be very unimpressed if this was the best we could do. The following two are Sean O'Driscoll and Mark Robins, I'd be more than happy with O'Driscoll but can anyone clear up the Bowen thing for me? Guest
I swear people don't understand odds. Remember this last time? Robins was nailed on favourite. What happened? Chill.
I BELIEVE
Absolutely no idea at all. Remember odds don't mean a lot at this stage, it just means where the money is going, as the bookies don't know a lot at this stage. 4/6 favourite with sky bet! Rocky
I swear people don't understand odds. Remember this last time? Robins was nailed on favourite. What happened? Chill. This. If 50 people all put £10 each on Mark Hughes, he'd be bookies favourite...ODDS ARE DICTATED ON BETTING PATTERNS!!!!!

Spike
I get odds but it still baffles me as to why a guy who seems to have no link to us, has only managed a single game and seems a very "out there" bet is getting so much money put on him. Guest
Maybe his agent stuck a ton on him. That would probably be all it takes to move odds right now - small market
Andy082005
Heres whats happening...... Everyone at City have been told to put small bets on managers who are not going to get the job. Odds will start to shorten whilst the real choice goes out to 66/1. Lansdown will then put a cool £1m on that manager Quids in....£66m will be set as our transfer budget for the new manager We will shoot up the league Get promoted next year Premier League top 6 within 3 years Trust me....Im in the know
KeepUpLino
If Bowen for some ridiculous reason does gets the job I really will be finished with this board, it will show that they have learnt naff all!!

glynriley
The phrase "Be careful what you wish for" springs to mind. Plenty wanted Del out and whoever gets the job will not please everyone. Whoever it is though , he has to instill some fight into the players. Yesterday was embarrasing. I can take being second best in terms of ability but not effort. If the new man can't get these players up for a fight , it will be like giving the kiss of life to a rasher of bacon.
