For Those Going To Leeds On Saturday

So its odds on for a postponement, another week's training with the squad and SOD's first game at the Gate v Ipswich instead. And perhaps a happier response fron the fans?!

They have under soil heating, doubtful it'll be off

We've got a good record of getting games on in the snow. When half the country was snowed off we got a League One game against Wycombe on and 24,000 got in and out safely.

As stated above it's Bristol that seems to be more at risk than Leeds of significant snow.

Why does everyone seem to panic about the weather when it rains / snows.

As numerous people have said Elland Road has undersoil heating, speaking to a friend that works in Leeds if the game was yesterday it would have easily been on.

Don't assume that just because there is a bit of snow around the ground that the game will automatically be called off, the club will be prepared for this and IF it gets icy they will solve the problem.

As for not getting out of Bristol, has that EVER happened?

Main roads will be gritted etc, and at worst maybe a few minor roads IF it snows, but what the weather does in Bristol has no bearing on if the game is played or not, the team will be up there on Friday

RELAX !!

Snow! Ha Ha! The problem with the UK is that they are never ready for it, here everyone has to fit winter tyres to their vehicles by the 1st November, by law. These are usually studded tyres, although all season tyres are available. All main roads are kept clear by snow ploughs and gritters, even country lanes are accessibly even though they are not treated, buses, trains all run without any problems, people even ride cycles and the snow the UK gets is nothing by comparison. Unfortunately football is not possible and the season starts in April and finishes in October. In one way it would be good for S o'D if the match was off as it would give him more time to get the players to his standard of fitness, but not good for the fans who have booked transport etc.
