QuedgeRed
I can't remember, in my supporting years, when a new manager has come in and we've gone on a good run. Has this happened at City? Maybe someone can refresh my memory?

glynriley
Didn't we go on a good run when Jordan replaced Cooper and make the play offs ?
TRL
Ward also did it 6 wins out of 7 or something like that to somehow sneek us into the playoffs
Aizoon
Interesting to see whether that happens at Southampton. I suspect not

Son of Fred
So, that would be a Yes then ;-) We lost our first game under mcinnes to brum, Burke scored. GJ we started badly. if my memory serves me well dereks first away game in charge(game after brum)was the tuesday night fixture at West Ham-we were scrapping for everything, taking a well earnd point 0-0..nearly nicked it in injury!...left "big"sam foaming at the mouth honking on about how lucky we were! LondonBristolian
We actually won GJ's first game as well - away at Brentford iirc. It was after that we went on the 10 game crash.
GrahamC
Pretty sure Ward took over when we were unlikely to make the play offs but we did so with a very good late run. Whatever happened to him?

Eco
Maybe SOD will do a GJ in reverse, lose first game then go on 10 game winning run ?
Roger Red Hat
Pretty sure Ward took over when we were unlikely to make the play offs but we did so with a very good late run. Whatever happened to him? He left when he owned up to not knowing what to do when we moved up a league.
GrahamC
He left when he owned up to not knowing what to do when we moved up a league. Yes, but where is he now? I heard a rumour he was in non league football?

cidercity1987
We won 3 of Johnson's first 4. What we'd do for that now. As long as we skip the next bit.

Think we played Barnsley away first on the saturday when we won 2-1. Adomah and then Maynard in injury time.
