BCFC96
Please no drums. Just an opinion. The best atmosphere is produced by the fans. When the tannoy broke at Ashton Gate at the beginning of last season the pre-match buzz was amazing. We did lose 3-0 to Millwall but that didn't matter. Do away with pre-match muzac, drums and plastic flag waving and get back to the raw basics of what makes football matches fun to go to. yeah drums are just annoying, a few teams have bought one to us and just hit it repeatedly for 90 minutes with little singing involved. RedYoshi
Ok... Seeing as people have mentioned (a lack of) originality, inventiveness, identity and local relevance in many of the complaints about current songs, how about a slightly alternative approach: Words - something along the lines of: Bristol City boys We're here, we're proud, we're making some noise **** the Gas and hear the Gate ROAR. One team in Bristol Led by Sean O'Driscoll **** the Gas and hear the Gate ROAR. We bounce around and always believe **** the Gas and hear the Gate ROAR. To the tune of: (00:48 - 01:24 for those who can't spare the time listening) It's local, it's a damn good (and well known) song, and 3D (Robert Del Naja) is a City fan. With a bit of a football chant flavour - different style, roughed up a bit - I reckon it'd translate to the terrace pretty well. Just a thought, ya know.
