marcofisher
Saw a huge improvement on this yesterday from before. I felt the huge amount of goals and poor organisation from defending set pieces certainly helped contribute from the downfall of Del. yesterday however we seemed a lot more organised from both corners and free kicks. This was highlighted by the free kick in the second half by Ipswich where both Fontaine and Carey both sprinted back from the dangerously swung in ball far ahead of all attackers and Fontaine headed it away! Looking a lot better defensively under Sean O'Driscoll and hopefully a winning period will start now! Thoughts?
Eco
Was better but still get extremely nervous when it's played towards the back post, there was one almighty scramble second half when their player nodded it back into the middle. You Do The Dziekanowski
They were doing something before the game on positioning from set pieces. Obviously worked and Heaton came out for a corner and just about caught it!!!!
Roger Red Hat
They were doing something before the game on positioning from set pieces. Obviously worked and Heaton came out for a corner and just about caught it!!!! Hopefully that's something he'll bring to his game more often, after all he's only been a pro 'keeper for a short while! foghornred
What I liked was that at corners O'Driscoll did not bring everyone back to defend he kept Baldock up front which meant that when cleared it did not come straight back,I know that McInnes said that we did not concede many from corners but we did as a result of the opposition regaining position from getting the ball back cheaply
bristolcitysweden
O'Driscoll mentioned in his post match interview that you need atleast five tall players do defend cornes properly and that Moloney fits that bill. In my opinion neither Taylor or Stead can defend corners properly.
