Lordofthebling
This has been bugging me... I've noticed over the past few weeks, Tom Heaton wearing that horrible looking, bright orange 'keepers jersey; but one with a poppy on it. Surely we can afford to give the man a fresh shirt! Can anyone shed any light on this?! Have I missed something? Lucky shirt? Meaningful in some way?

sglosbcfc
I hope it is not a new badge to replace ours for next season. Or maybe it is his old Cardiff shirt, aren't they known as the 'Red Poppies' these days?

Can anyone shed any light on this?! Have I missed something? Lucky shirt? Meaningful in some way? It's the shirt that he worn against Charlton on November the 11th, Rememberance Sunday and also the 11th hour of the 11th day. They were on the same day last year, that's why there is a poppy on it. Perhaps if he has another shirt it was in the wash.
nedbcfc
Certain I saw another post about this, where someone pointed out that the Poppy appeal isn't just for Nov. 11th but a year-round cause and perhaps he's got some sort of close affiliation with it? Something like that.

Bedminster Born And Red
So we can pee money against the wall on loan players like McManus and the lad from Liverpool who never played yet the funds don't allow us to buy Heaton a few bright orange Adidas Goalkeeping shirts to get him through the rest of the season!! Who says football has gone mad?!!
