Real Red
As we run a 'counter' in the fanzine, as of today it is 4,453 days since Rovers were above us in the League, which I reckon makes it around just over 12 years. I think it was around Sept 2001. One Team In Bristol next edition due on Easter Monday v Sheff Wed

bs16bcfc
The gas got relegated in may 2001 so my estimate would be possibly towards the end of 2000 unless they didn't go above us all that season
myol'man
They still cling on to that LDV area final win making them top team in Bristol. Deluded!
Aizoon
In 1999-2000 the Gas finished three places above us in Serie C. In 2000-2001 they were relegated to the Basement where they belong, and haven't been in the same division as us since.

bcfcsouth
http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/division-two/1999-2000/table Amazing how In 13 years the tables and teams can change so much
Aizoon
Amazing how In 13 years the tables and teams can change so much With one notable exception. We're still bouncing about between the Championship and the Sinkingship. Fortunately, the Gas seems to be permanently mired in the Receivership. Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
The Gas last finished above us in the 99/00 season when they bottled it big time on the last day against (already relegated) Cardiff to miss out on the Play Offs. None of this matters however because they have been given permission to build a blue version of the Keepmoat Stadium and as a result every City fan is incandescent with rage because Rovers will soon be in the Premiership and City will go bust due to Lansdown telling us to **** off! Sag logic.
One BCFC
Since 1990 they have finished above us in 2000, 1996, 1992 and 1990. City have finished above Rovers in 1991, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1997, 1998, 1999 and ever since 2001. One Team in Bristol.

Aizoon
Gas also finished above us in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1989 - before that the last time the Gas finished above us was.. ... ... ... ... wait for it... ... ... ... ... ... 1962
Aizoon
Summarising, for every decade since the 1950's City have finished above the Gas more often than they have above us. That even applies to the nightmare 1980's! Remember the fuss they made in 1990 about finishing above us? We were just delighted to be promoted, because we knew that we'd stay up
GrahamC
My favourite stat is their last point earned at our current level was in season 1992/93, so 20 years ago now. Next time they crack one off over a win against Burton or Dagenham it is good to remind them who we play against......
nebristolred
Gas also finished above us in 1982, 1983, 1984, 1989 - before that the last time the Gas finished above us was.. ... ... ... ... wait for it... ... ... ... ... ... 1962 Love this. So... in the last 50 years, they have finished above us 8 times? That's incredible, especially bearing in mind that we once got relegated from the top division to the bottom consecutively. And they're STILL worse than us.
GodEmperor Palpatine
http://www.statto.com/football/stats/england/division-two/1999-2000/table Wasn't that the season when the Sags were running away with the league and then did a 'Cardiff' by losing to Cardiff 1-0 and failing to reach the playoffs?
