Not sure if this is fact. I took from a previous post

Out of contract

Nyatanga - Worth a new contract maybe

Heaton - Keep

M Wilson - Get rid

J Wilson - Would be great in L1, has lost faith though sat in stands last night.

Bates - Undecided

Carey - Let go

Elliott - let go

Skuse - Apparently wants to go

Lewis Carey - Not sure

Howard - Not sure why we signed him? But a maybe

Gerken - Depends if he wants to stay as no2

Holloway - Not seen enough

Stead - Would love to see him stay

Players under contract

Kilkenny 2014 sell him if we can or give him a chance in L1?

Taylor 2014 - didn't score many but L1 maybe for him

Adomah 2014- would love to keep but can we risk him going for nothing? See what offers come in?

Pearson 2014 - didn't do much but again L1 maybe different

Anderson 2014 - try and keep, quality

Fontaine 2014 - ?? If anyone would buy him let him go

Foster 2014 - hated by most but again L1 maybe give him a chance

Reid 2015- looking forward to seeing more of him

Bryan 2015 - looking forward to seeing more of him

Burns 2015- looking forward to seeing more of him

Moloney 2015 - quality must keep

Baldock 2015 - been a let down but is with out a doubt a goal scorer in L1. Sell for the right price??

Davies 2015 - must keep but will be gone at the right price

Cunningham 2016 - must keep but will be gone at the right price

Kelly 2016 - 015 - keep but will be gone at the right price

I think any of the above in contract will be sold at the right price . I'm sure some of you will say get rid of the lot.

Just putting what I understand to be our options

Squad of 28 - anyone missing ??

I think you underestimate our ability to keep the contracted players. They all had in their contracts a relegation reduction in wages which they would have agreed to. Given they are under contract, the club is in control. We don't have to sell any of them unless they are upsetting the squad by wanting to leave. As for the ones out of contract all but a couple will go to bring us in line with ffp rules for league 1 and to free up wages and space for better hungrier younger players.

It's not all despair.

We will have a good squad to challenge at the top next season I'm sure. Just sit back and let the summer of transition take place.

What on earth gives you the impression J Wilson would be great in league 1.

I don't think he'd look great on the downs.

I am with you. I don't buy this theory that the rubbish here will be great next season.

I don't understand why so many people want to give Nyatanga a new contract. He's been shit for most of his time here and we see it time and time again when players up their game when their contract is about to run out and then revert to type afterwards. To be fair though, I'm working on the assumption we'll be able to get someone better

Same here. If you're a midfield player and you can't track runners.. Well, you can't track runners. If you're not very good at playing good forward passes that present decent attacking opportunities.. Well the same theory applies. Same for defending and in Fosters case, crossing a ball. If you're crap at it, your crap at it. Etc, etc etc

The only saving grace is we may not get punished as often.

Not a bad team but high wage earners like Baldock and Cunningham will be gone (for a fee) to lower the wage bill.

the new players who came in were not on as much as current players so they aren't the high earners plus the board and club have stated more then once that all senior players are on tiered contracts there for relegation means all if them will be getting a wage reduction,

rumours are that this could be as much as 50% (I doubt that),

everyone under contract with the exception of maybe albert will be here for pre-season training next season

..i think we will have to let all of the out of contracts go because of ffp..even the ones we would like to keep-Stead would be a handful in league one but the desire to cut the bill will prevail...and any reasonable offers for contracted players im sure will be accepted-gona be fascinating to see who pulls on the shirt for the first game!
