JOSH17
Whats he said? Bristol City head coach Sean O'Driscoll has told BBC Radio Bristol that he will not rush into making a decision on signing a goalkeeper. The Robins are currently without a keeper on their books, after Tom Heaton joined Burnley and Dean Gerken was released.
Fiale
NO offers for any of our players yet - will not be rushed into making signings, looking at Flint as we have not found a replacement for the CB position since Caulker left, not expecting to much activity until closer to the start of the season. Corleone
thats going to go down well here What SOD says makes absolute sense, and is the same for most clubs not just us, especially with the new FFP rules. Most teams will take stock and maybe do 1 or 2 deals early, but most deals wont be concluded until pre-season.
Barrs Court Red
On the flip side, those of us with more than hslf a brsin can sit back and laugh at those getting angry because we haven't made 49 new signings by June 3rd
The Humble Realist
What annoys me is every year we 'wait till closer to the start of the season' to do business and then fail to bring in players completly or desperately sign players we don't need e.g. marc Wilson . Why don't we get our team sorted for the START of pre season (bar one or two) n then we get the benefit of them integrating into the team in friendlies etc

The whole point of waiting is to see who is available and to take stock and understand which players are able to take the club forward.

Why don't we get our team sorted for the START of pre season (bar one or two) n then we get the benefit of them integrating into the team in friendlies etc Because all the clubs are trying to find out who is going to sign new contracts, who/what they need to bring in to replace/strengthen their teams - until they know where they stand they cannot make offers and will not be willing to accept offers on their players........ so you tend to see most of the activity closer to the start of the season.
