Liverpool's Modern Retro

Warrior is a subsidiary of US based running shoe brand New Balance. They entered the football market in 2012.

I think we can compare Warrior to a rather garish new Chevy model whereas a team like Liverpool should be sporting something rather more classy like Umbro ala' Jaguar.

Its obviously the US owners weighing in with their yankie influence and will probably sell well in the slums of Detroit's rust belt.

Mind you, at £25 million per season with 5 of 6 years remaining on the contract, it is the largest deal in the Premiership and, probably, in history.

Liverpool are in good company though; other teams sporting Warrior include Persebaya Surabaya (Indonesia) and Sagan Tosu (Japan). lorra larfs.

When we played fiveaside aeons ago we went to a shop, sat down and designed our kit with them - they had some basic templates, you could change the colors, patterns, mix and match. So why a football club that sells thousands of tops has to choose between a few templates from just one supplier seems ludicrous. The fact that large suppliers cannot tailor make a kit for a club seems lazy.

Arsenal recently took that title off them... with Puma! http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/arsenal-agree-puma-kit-deal-1874661

Staggering. Kit manufacturer and sponsor generating 320m for arsenal over the term of the deals. Really mind boggling numbers. That's before revenue from sale of shirts and tickets!

They really have no excuse for not spending big and continuing to charge thousands of pounds for season tickets.
