CheddarReds
a few of us were thinking about who captains the other day, we came up with a few names but as always had different opinions so... who d'you think will be our captain next year? why? who d'you think should be our captain next year? why? Brizzle Jordan
Depends who he sees being a regular.. If Elliot is a regular he'll be skipper, if Carey is playing he'll be skipper but if neither of them are playing i'd like Flint to be captain. Will Flint be made captain after he's only just arrived this summer though?
Gillies Downs Leeds
Probably doesn't mean anything but second half at Clevedon when we had experienced defence and midfield on the pitch Kelly was the captain.
IdliketoRogerMoore
Only in this country is being captain such a big deal. Every one on the pitch should be captain encouraging each other to reach higher levels. That aside I'd say Elliot if he is a regular. No one knows if flint is even captain material
Talk Of The Town
Is a captain in football all that important? I mean, he doesn't decide tactics or have involvement in selection. Shake hands at the k.o, call heads or tails, then shout loud for 90 mins. Does it matter in modern day football who the captain is?
charlie_adam_no1fan
Kilkenny will be.

Carey 6
Yeah if Elliot is here he'd be alright. Will Flint be made captain after he's only just arrived this summer though? Keogh got made Capt at derby last season, didn't do him or them too badly!
Brizzle Jordan
Kilkenny will be. He couldn't direct a seagull to the coast let alone direct another 10 players on a football pitch.

Although he could turn out to be a good skipper I think it should be someone who has been at the club longer! Saying that if the likes of Elliott or Carey don't play we don't have many leaders! I would say Cunningham, possibly Moloney but slim pickings after that. I can see the logic in Flint mind! Love a ball winning centre half as a skipper, just don't know if it's a good idea putting extra pressure on him!? Genuinely intrigued to see who will be skipper. Brislingwood Red
For me the Captains role is still an important role and an honour whether your playing for Bristol City or Brislington.
REBS14
i can see SOD giving the armband to Kelly as first choice, im not sure if he sees Marv as a regular starter, Flint is also a good shout - but for me Kelly

cider-manc
not Flint, he's only just joined the club! Cunningham would make a decent captain in my opinion What difference does that make? If SOD believes he has the right qualities and the players around him respect him then how long he has been here shouldn't matter. Don't forget we have a lot of new faces and some youngsters who look like they will be given a chance this season, so I can't see any bad feelings etc Personally I think Elliott if he plays, it seems to raise his game. If not Cunningham or flint. I do however feel we put too much emphasis on it in this country.
