I'd love this to be true, a class striker who is at a good age 29 isn't a good age for a signing you have to pay a large fee for. Certainly not now. He's the kind of player Gary Johnson or Steve Coppell might have taken a punt on but I can't see him fitting the new model for player recruitment. Swindon were close to signing at least 2 Brentofrd players - one being Clayton.
