ThOmO
Bobby ried from what I've seen has really been on his game Could this be his year to break through Nice touches and bags of skill. Hungry for it, think he's the one sod is talking about in his last interview

ThOmO
Some members of the squad have forced there way into his plans through a good pre season or words to that effect
Corleone
But with the likes of Kilkenny winter and pack he will still play a bit part role I would imagine....saying that that would be step up for him. He is obviously rated highly.
Red white and red
Bryan and burns I assume, lot of competition in the middle of the park for Reid!
TRL
Time he was given his chance, I don't give into the thought he is too small, low centre of Gravity is something most of the top players in History had. he has this. I have seen big buggers put in poweder puff efforts. if he is a good enough play him, get him in. he looks quite an intelligent footballer from the small amount I have seen, i would have thought he fits in with SODs ethos of players making the right passes even if they don't come off
Dynamite Red
I think he will be competing with JET for a place in the team. Impact sub is my guess.

Monkeh
He should be starting, he's 20ish and should be pushing on. He has what we have been missing. Ive championed him for donkeys. So he is small, so what? In place of who tho'

!james
I would still be tempted to send him out on loan til Xmas so he can actually play week in week out in the league. At Cheltenham he played once on loan and he played 7 times at Oldham, with only a few starts and sub appearances.
NVMal
Squad number 14 suggests he'll be involved. Players that will go out on loan will be Burns, Amadi-Holloway and anyone else with a squad number over 30.
Monkeh
But Reid was good in the last preseason too, Point is if he is to start that means Kilkenny wouldn't be or pack wouldn't be or possibly jet wouldn't
Bowie
IndeedBut Reid was good in the last preseason too, Point is if he is to start that means Kilkenny wouldn't be or pack wouldn't be or possibly jet wouldn't Not as good a he's looked this pre-season, he's been making his mark in games this Pre-season instead of just being a "impressive youngster for the future' squad number he's been given also suggests he's going to be there or thereabouts in the squad each week. At his age and at this level it's really a make or break season for him at City, I'd expect him to be in the team or on the bench more weeks than not. Ray White
I'm a big fan of BR but from what i have seen so far in pre season Joe Bryan looks the better of the two at the moment. It's certainly nice that for the first time in ages we actually look like we might play some of our young lads.
redcherryberry
A couple of months on loan in L2 would do Bobby the world of good IMO. Can only see Bryan & Wynter out of the kids playing a big part this season. Maybe Burns as well once he's back fit.
Anglia Red
Think Reid will feature regularly from the bench +some starts (JP Trophy/ league cup)-No! No! don't send him out on loan again -give him a few 30 minute appearances in league games when we can and see what he can do -certainly looked good against Charlton at the end of last season. RedZoneJim
Don't think Reid will be out on loan again or Bryan but can see Burns leading the pack of kids that are likely to spend time elsewhere this season.
REDOXO
Yes I think it was Reid that SOD was refering to, reading between the pre-season linesIt seems we have competition all over the field and the only person nailed on to start on Saturday is fielding....Happy Days! Booby has done his loan moves in league 1 & 2 amd doesnt need that anymore if he goes out again it's going to be to be because he doesn't have a future here. CheddarReds
great future at the club, I don't think he'll go out on loan now Kelly is out. I want him to be near the starting 11 this year, impact sub for JET is a good shout.

Carey 6
I know Lee Johnson wanted him at Oldham after his loan deal. Not sure if its still the case, but it shows maybe he is good enough for League One.
Admin Ian M Posted August 1, 2013 Admin Report Share Posted August 1, 2013 Just checked, he is 20. Still think he'll be off out on loan, Cheltenham may e. No way would he drop to L2 and if he went elsewhere in this division it would be helping our rivals. He will be a permanent fixture in the matchday 18 and will get a lot of exposure from the bench. If he does well, starts may follow as well. I was surprised with how little he was bullied against Bournemouth and each time his size did actually let him down the ref gave us a freekick anyway

internetjef
He's meant to be our best technical young player, but is still a bit lightweight to play as a holding midfielder Surely the answer is simple... Use him as cover and late game sub for JET 'in the hole'. Less defensive duties and more freedom to show his ability. I could be wrong but purely based on the size of JET i would have thought he might struggle to get around the pitch for the full 90. Hes built like a tank
