formerly known as ivan
Few dodgy moments not a hugh improvement on Fontaine performance wise but given that it was his first start given a run I think hecwill be a very good player
sglosbcfc
I thought Williams had an excellent game, also you have to take into account he was facing Sako, Griffiths and Doyle, no other League One team boasts that fire power.
Red-Robbo
I'd say he was about 1000% better than Fontaine. Kept it simple and did what was required against the league's most expensive strike force. Made more clearances than Flint. Won his placein the side basically. MATT BCFC
Poor in the air at times. Looked nervy which I suppose was to be expected. Think he will grow as a player though. Thought Flint was bit dodgy tbh looks a bit like bambi on ice. Defence still doesn't feel me with confidence. Two fall backs didn't have the best of games either. Jordan Tansley
Great pass for the goal. Outside of the boot. Much more composed than Fonts. Couple or air kicks but he was probably my mom until their second which I couldn't see too well but might have been him at fault?
Lew-T
To be honest, anything would of been better than Fontaine. Looked okay, will only improve.
Fuber
I thought he did something better than Fonts, and that was the fact he wasnt afraid to get stuck in. Even though he was nervous, he also more importantly DID NOT LET THE BALL BOUNCE.

Corleone
Are people completely forgetting his fontaine moment when he let the ball bounce only for the guy to miss an open goal????? More composed than Fonts but **** me he had a shocker when the ball bounced over him....can't believe people are ignoring it!!!
westred1
A good performance from him, very impressed. As Tansley said his pass was brilliant and perfectly weighted for Baldock (who was class today) to run onto, I don't think he got beaten in the air and kept Griffths very quiet. Few dodgy missed kicks and got let off when their player missed an open goal but a lot more positives than negatives.
Fiale
He looked good - he attacked the first ball, has a good touch, looked composed, if he had space in front of him would even run out with the ball. Playing against one of the better teams in the League - he did not look out of place.

More composed than Fonts but **** me he had a shocker when the ball bounced over him....can't believe people are ignoring it!!! I'm not, but Fielding - who had hitherto had a storming game - was also to blame for that moment of madness. I think if we'd played Fontaine we'd have shipped at least two more goals, therefore I'm happy.
North London Red
Wasn't he also at fault for the first Wolves goal by letting Doyle get goal side? May have looked a soft free kick but wouldn't have come to that if his positioning had been better.
Bristol_South_End
Started shaky but thought he grew into the game, was impressed with him and thought he had the best game of our four defenders.

CheddarReds
Think he did quite well, against a good strike force, only 20 and looked more comforrtable and controlled than Fontaine. Fontaines confidence is in tatters and if Williams can put together a few decent performances I think his Bristol City career will be over. To be fair he shouldn't have been put into that position anyway, was very poor, and we were lucky he did not put it away and totally kill the game, not that they needed it in the end. fka dagest
I was impressed with him. Aside from his Fontainesque moment, I don't think he put a foot wrong. I was particularly impressed with his passion after conceding the second goal - looked like he really cared and wanted it.
pongo88
Did nothing spectacular but basically was a sound defender. As said in previous posts he was a bit dodgy with a couple of high balls but I feel we have to put his performance into context. He's a young player with no real first team experience and he was playing in a team that was totally overrun in the first half. The defence as a whole was let down by the midfield in the first half. On the whole he looks like a player City should persevere with as he can only get better
