Major Isewater
Just a little peccadillo British people don't say "for sure" .We use "definately ","clearly" "of course" and if you like "Surely" but léave "for sûre " to our foreign cousins. No big deal but i find it ridiculous when we copy them. " Jurgen are you coming to the match on Saturday ?" "Yes,i'm coming for sure" "Peter ?" "Yes ,i'll definately be there" Standards ... For sure
Gazred
The one that annoys me is "can I get a..." when ordering food and drink etc. No you can't, that's why they are there to serve you in the first place.
TRL
The word stuff does my head in. "We need to do a lot of stuff to make x y z work" Lazy mind or not prepared is my first thought when someone says that word in the context above. WTFiGO!?!
People writing 'would of..' not 'would have..' seems to be a current popular pet hate. It does demonstrate ridiculous levels of ignorance regarding the use of the English language but even if a person appears uneducated, why does it matter? The origination of people using 'this', 'simples' 'my bad' etc just baffles me. You can tell it's been a slow day at the cricket as my attention has turned to this.
