Kingswood Village
Good to see the bitterness extends right through to the gas commentators! "Look at city celebrating, they think they've won the league" - err no they're just delighted that they've effectively just relegated the gypos on their own shit hole. Bristol Rob
Blimey! I remember being there for that. That pitch is a disgrace though. I'm amazed the game ever went ahead. I'm sure on arrival we were advised to keep our ticket stubs as they expected it to be abandoned. I'd imagine the police bill would have put pay to the game ever getting called off though. North London Red
I remember Tony Malessa who was our sub keeper that might went up to Phillips while Hulbert got treatment and I guess told him which way to go. Never been so soaked in my life but what a night! Very true - Danny Wilson had managed Scott Jones at Barnsley and therefore would have had a fairly good idea of where Jones might put the penalty, which might very well explain Malessa walking round the pitch to speak to Phillips. Also, wasn't Hulbert being treated after being hit by a coin thrown by a Rovers fan? And to think, the subsequent delay (caused by Rovers fans themselves) was a major factor in the two dropped points!

Fordy62
I loved that. My personal favourite being "City have worn green hoping that they'd get the rub of it" and at 7 minutes where Mauge delivers a forearm smash (definite red in today's game) and the commentators suggesting that they couldn't see a foul. SecretSam
A few observations: 1. Nice of Rovers to bring the Trumpton pitch with them into Bristol, did they bring the cows who grazed on it as well? 2. Why were City wearing their away kit? Why were all the jerseys 3 sizes too big? And did anyone notice that Adidas ripped off this kit for last season's "template" effort 3. Commentators should be commended, it's hard to string sentences together when you've only got an IQ of 6 due to congenital inbreeding 4. Some decent players in the City side, Tinman, Scottie, Bell...mind you, some duffers as well

The Gasheads around me in their end were going mad about Malessa being able to talk to Phillips about it. The whole area was just in dreamland having got a late penalty obviously.
