ChippenhamRed
...they think there's a burger? http://www.thisisbristol.co.uk/Bristol-Rovers-boss-John-Ward-rages-ridiculous/story-19751631-detail/story.html#axzz2e1697MDy John Ward: "You don’t want fat people on the pitch do you? It’s about fit young footballers and when fat people come on the pitch, you just want to get them off quickly" Did he actually say this??!!! Remarkable quote! (apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere but it would take me the rest of the week let alone my lunch break to read everything)

fka dagest
His opinion certainly carries some weight. It's an unusual angle from Ward - maybe he has point.

B-Rizzle
I think John Ward has come across well in his post match. I just wishboth he and SOD had acknowledged that it was a minority of fans that caused trouble and that the vast majority carried themselves in the same way that players and staff did. In the Net
In fairness, they are asked for their opinions within minutes of the game ending, so are probably just trying to make sure they say the right thing. I think that Wardy's comments did try to difuse it a bit, by adding some humour.
beaverface
To be fair to John Ward, he seemed to caught between a rock and a hard place when walking down the tunnel. First of all he was throwing his arms around having a right little paddy, but the next instance he was trying to clap our fans who were acknowledging him. WolfOfWestStreet
Speaking about burgers some kiddie threw what looked like a cheeseburger at the Rovers right back as he took a throw in (dolman side). He missed. Just thought it was weird seeing Joe Bryan dribbling round a burger bun

Major Isewater
He goes right up in my estimation if he said that Hé did, fatist barsteward also a liitle bit disturbing his desire to watch fit young men running about the pitch naked . Ok i made up the naked bit but you can see where it's coming from can't you? (Perhaps not Ten Minutes of Rough but the rest of you ) Only jesting TMR
Super
He hasn't picked Kenneth any week this season. Clarkson looks like he has gone up a waist size since he left us.

Peter O Hanraha-hanrahan
Obviously from a well to do family if he could afford to throw one of our burgers on the pitch..... This. If I'd have thrown the burger I would've run onto the pitch to get it back out of principle.
The Bard
He hasn't picked Kenneth any week this season. So his actions have backed up what he says. He doesn't want to see fat people on the pitch, therefore he doesn't pick Kenneth. You've got to give John Ward credit for his consistency. How close do you think Clarkson is to being dropped under Mr Ward's anti-obesity criteria? Perhaps he makes the players go on Wii Fit once a week - that gives you your ideal BMI. Probably tells him Kenneth has a fit age of 63 whilst Wardy's is about 36.
