Had a look at the Post letters page whilst in the shop, if you're referring to the 'Roy of the Rovers' letter, it was just the usual Gas chutney about how hard they've had it and how their loyalty is going to be rewarded etc plus how they've got a new stadium to look forward to and City haven't blah blah blah. Insinuating that the main reason for their relegation to the basement was because of the Rugby club playing on the same pitch is a new one afaik. Wouldn't even cross their minds that their cabbage patch of a pitch would cause far more problems for the opposition than for them.
