Thornbury Red Posted June 5, 2004 Report Share Posted June 5, 2004 Personally I thought Danny did a good job in his four years - but at the end of this season we are no further forward (in league position) than when he came. I'm sorry to see him go - but thats football. Reading between the lines from Steve Lansdowns comments we havent got anyone lined up. Weve just released players, including the only signing this season who made any sort of impact) and offered contracts to others including what most people consider to be dead wood. A new man will come in and will change the team about, he has to, the players weve got wernt/arent good enough to get us out of this division. Weve no money and a fairly big squad already. How will we convince an ambitious manager that we are the right club for him? If we end up going for the cheap option then I would really start to worry about next season.
