Red Skin
I know bad luck is used as an excuse, and the Gary Player quote has a lot of truth in it but I do feel we have lacked some luck at times. On countless occasions this season when the ball is bobbling around in the box and ricocheting off defenders from corners it never seems to fall for one of our players. Have we had any deflected goals in our favour this season?

The Bard
So if we think Gary Player is right (I think he is) then we simply have to keep working hard. And working smart. Results will inevitably follow if we do both.
MATT BCFC
Its simple psychology used by football managers. It makes more sense to blame external factors that they or the players cannot affect (e.g. the pitch and ref) than to blame individuals or the team as this is likely to result in loss of confidence.
