RedM
I know there is another thread saying the match was in doubt, I have just amended it to Postponed. But for anyone who doesn't see it, the home match against Crawley next Saturday, 12th Oct has been postponed due to International call ups. No new date has been announced yet. bemmyredjeff
Seems pretty pointless now we've signed Dunk...unless anyone thinks Marv will be a great loss.
Kingswood Village
May I be the first to say (albeit selfishly) hooray! Means I can go now.
fka dagest
I hope this type of nonsense doesn't become a regular feature because for many people making a lengthy journey a Tuesday night fixture is a pain in the arse. I'm not convinced it's necessary.
Fiale
For us it's pretty good gives us more time to sort things out in training.

The Right Honourable Les Q
How about we postpone this season? It's not looking like a whole lot of fun, really. I must say, this is becoming a habit. Does the head coach like to postpone fixtures we might, I say might, possibly win? Any conspiracy theorists out there care to join me in this? The Right Honourable Les Q
I know, I know. Crawley are years ahead of us on and off the pitch, we can't hope to compete, expect to win, "the likes" of...etc. Can we "expect" to beat someone in the first round of the cup? Or will that game then be postponed. What TFactory can we expect?! I need to know what to expect??

WolfOfWestStreet
I'm amazed there are players for either team deemed worthy of an international call up.

Steve Watts
I think the key player here is Derrick Williams - although we've signed Dunk, if we lose any more defenders, as well as DW on international duties, we're screwed. I can only imagine that's where the decision rested, maybe?

I can only imagine that's where the decision rested, maybe? I guess it is, and the injury doubt that Flint has been for a game or two. I can't think that losing Elliott who has probably only played half the games ?, including a fair few sub appearances or Wes Burns who I can't remember him playing this season yet would stop us if it were them and another fringe player, eg Kilkenny(ha ha). I'm surprised there isn't a rule citing the number of appearances or minutes playing time by such players introduced.
Edinburgh Red
Not happy, flights are booked, ticket sorted but now no footy. Of the international call up' show many were in the starting line up last weekend and how many will start today? Any excuse used to put a game off. It's not a simple as that though M. We've had Elliott and Williams called up, who will almost certainly be in the matchday squad today. Should we pick up an injury to Flint or Dunk today, Williams would have been needed next week. The same goes for Elliott, he probably won't start today, but an injury to Pack or Reid and he'd be needed. We have to cover all bases, it's unfortunate for those that it affects, but that's what happens when we play in the lower leagues. I've not mentioned Burns because it seems fairly clear that he's not going to be used for some reason, but that's for another thread.
Slack Bladder
Crawley are a pub team, we can beat them with a few players missing. Surely.
