Although, not everyone was so delighted with the decision. Ivaylo Petev was being unveiled by Levski after they had fired former coach Slavisa Jokanovic following a poor start to the season for the side from the Bulgarian capital. As the press conference got underway and questions were being put to the new coach, a group of the club's 'Ultras' or hardcore hooligan fans as we might call them, stormed the press conference and surrounded the owner and Petev. The problem is that these fans believe that Petev is in fact a fan of Levski's bitter city rivals, CSKA Sofia and they are unwilling to let this man become manager of their beloved club. They then proceeded to strip Petev of the Levski shirt he was wearing and kick him out of the press conference entirely. "Youre not welcome here. Get up, undress the shirt and go. Levski will not play under you as coach." The Ultras said to Petev. The club's owner, Todor Batkov, was later quoted saying that the actions of these fans were a disgrace, but that they wouldn't change his mind about the appointment and Petev will continue, as planned, as the new manager of Levski Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
