Irishred
All of Danny's supporters on this forum keep harping on about stability and how good it was to reach third over the last two seasons etc. etc. In doing so they are making a god out of mediocrity and danny it's high priest. They are also exposing their lack of ambition and vision for this club. Bristol City is a division one club, it deserves divison one football and the odd crack at a place in the premiership. It does not deserve to languish in division two for five seasons under a manager who thinks it is just a little bit disappointing. Removing a manager when the time is right works more often then it fails. Look at Hartlepool for instance who replaced the manager who won them promotion to the second division shortly after he had achieved that feat. His replacement Neale Cooper has brought them to unsurpassed heights. So go on and stick your head in the sand if you want to and ignore the evidence all around you. Steve Lansdowne has chosen not to do that and he must be supported in his attempts to take City up where they belong.
Whirling Ted Smith
It seems from the various reports about this that if DW had gone along with SL's financial plan for cost cutting then he may still have been in charge.
Geesus the City fan
I dont think anyone is having a real go at SL yet... I think the majority of supporters are a little concerned that it may be a finacial decision rather than a football one! DW did do a good job whatever aspirations you have for BCFC the truth is 4 yrs ago we had no chance of sustaining Div 1 and now its more possible. The problem is now who is going to replace and take the club forward whilst saving money? Very important decision for SL, goes without saying really.
